For the seventeenth consecutive year, the Stepney Volunteer Fire Department successfully delivered Frosty The Snowman to the Stepney Green for its annual Holiday Tree Lighting. Under the direction of Joel Leneker and the Save Our Stepney Task Force, the Tree Lighting featured music provided by the Just Voices acapella choir, welcome comments from Mayor Ken Kellogg, state representative JP Sredzinski, fresh-made doughnuts provided by the Boy Scouts, a reading of T’was The Night Before Christmas, and finally, the grand finale: the arrival of Frosty.
If you missed it, put it on your calendar on the first Saturday in December next year.
