The children at Magic Kingdom were lined up to try a Real Fire Hose.
A little breeze can cause a big surprise!
Our visit to Stepney Elementary School was almost rained out, so our Volunteers took our show indoors.
The gang at Little Ivy Nursery School posed in front of Engine 104.
Another Fire Prevention week has come to a close but not without some drama. Our visits to the local schools were interrupted by Snowstorm Alfred. Due to the snow, the power outage and the devastation of our streets, trees and power lines, Fire Prevention Week lasted almost three weeks.
Stepney’s volunteers were able to do the rounds, visiting Kiddie Campus, Magic Kingdom, Tutor Time, Step-A-Way, Little Ivy and Stepney Elementary schools.
The children learned things like how to call 911, what to do if their smoke alarm goes off and what firefighters look like when they work as firefighters.
A good, and hopefully educational, time was had by all.
